Program Overview

This program prepares students to become skilled professionals who design, fit, and dispense prescription eyewear and optical devices. Students gain expertise in optical science, lens technology, frame selection, and patient care. They learn how to interpret prescriptions, take precise measurements, recommend suitable frames and lenses, and perform adjustments and repairs. The program also equips graduates with knowledge of business practices, professional ethics, and customer service, enabling them to work confidently in retail settings and establish their eyewear retail stores.

The Diploma in Dispensing Opticianry trains students to design, fit, and dispense prescription eyewear and optical devices. The program combines optical science with practical skills, preparing graduates to deliver exceptional eye care services. 

This program combines classroom learning, laboratory sessions, and practical training. Students progress through foundational optical science, advanced lens technology, and hands-on experience in frame selection, measurements, and adjustments.

  • Minimum 50% overall marks in Matriculation (Science Group – Physics, Chemistry, Biology)
  • Minimum 50% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology
